The Indiana School Leader Fellowship (ISLF) is seeking its fourth class of school leaders for a professional development experience centered around three core themes: Know+Lead Self, Know+Lead Your School, and Know+Lead Others. Sponsored by The Oaks Academy, an Indianapolis-based private school, the 2020-2021 training schedule will utilize online platforms for the multi-tiered learning that includes virtual residency days, small cohort sessions, and individual executive coaching.
“With the continuing uncertainty related to Covid-19, we believe this collaborative space will be even more vital for leaders,” explains Andrew Hart, CEO, The Oaks Academy. “We use a prescriptive framework that supports a diverse group of leaders in exploring and reflecting on personal and professional leadership practices. Through one-on-one coaching, our fellows are further encouraged to apply what they’re learning so that their schools continue to flourish,” explains Hart.
Joining Hart on the leadership team are Chris Bittinger, CEO, Open Pivot, a leadership consulting practice in Indiana, and Katie Taylor, a United States Air Force veteran and former pilot.
The Fellowship welcomes a wide range of school leaders, both in terms of years of service and positions held. Principals, heads of school, school founders, assistant principals, deans of students and advancement directors are encouraged to apply. To date, the ISLF has engaged leaders in 34 schools in 4 states, representing 12,000 students.
